Zürich: 22 March, Starbucks, Bahnhofplatz 6, 8001 Zürich

Lausanne: 12 April, the new Starbucks by the Main Station, Lausanne

At each location, we'll meet at 2:00 PM. We’ll start off with a discussion of High Concept books. You hear “high concept” often in the world of Kidlit. We’ll talk about what that means, and discuss some examples ranging from picture books to Young Adult. I’ll be bringing a great example of a high concept picture book with me that I brought home from the recent Winter Conference in New York City. We’d love for you to bring some of your favorite high concept books along to the discussion.

The informal part of our visit will follow the High Concept discussion. Stay 5 minutes or 50 – at this time there’s no formal topic of discussion or agenda. If for some reason you can’t make it to the earlier discussion, please do stop by  to say hello and tell us a bit about what you are working on in the world of writing & illustrating for children and young adults. We'll stay until at least 3:00 PM, or longer, depending on who's around and wants to keep talking.
