Revision for Middle Grade and Young Adult Fiction

Date(s) - 11/18/2020
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Are you staring at your finished middle grade or young adult manuscript, wondering how in the world to revise such a big project?

Are you unsure which tools can help you as you revise?

Are you wondering what elements of the manuscript to focus on first?

Join us on November 18th at 8 PM (Swiss time) as author H. S. Norup answers these questions and more in a master class on revising middle grade and young adult fiction.

Using her own books, she’ll present a variety of detailed strategies for revising longer fiction for young readers that will help you know how to get started and how to focus on specific areas of your manuscript when revising.

Some of the things she’ll be talking about are:

  • How to enhance the themes and values that are present in your manuscript
  • How to use color coding (whether it’s in Scrivener or highlighting your printed copy) as you revise
  • How to track subplots across timelines
  • How to evaluate the balance of action, description and interior monologue in your manuscript

DATE: Wednesday, 18 November 2020

TIME: 8 PM, Swiss Time (you can convert to your time zone here)

COST: 15 CHF for SCBWI members, 20 CHF for non-members

Please note: No recording will be available for this event. If you want to participate, you will need to be available to participate in the event at the scheduled date/time.
